Dukes County Sheriff’s Office Proudly Supports the Red Stocking Fund

The Dukes County Sheriff’s Office proudly supports the Red Stocking Fund! The mission of The Red Stocking Fund, an entirely volunteer-run organization, is to provide warm winter clothing and food for children in need on Martha’s Vineyard during the Christmas and holiday season.

“We are excited to be chosen as a donation location in support of this wonderful organization, providing Island children in need with something to eat, something to wear, and something to play with during the holidays. With the housing crisis and the detrimental impact of COVID-19 on unemployment rates, we know the need is there” says Sheriff Ogden. “This year more than ever we recognize the importance of community members coming together safely to support one other, with the common goal of protecting and caring for the most vulnerable on our Island.”

This holiday season from Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, December 30, community members may drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office Administrative building in the outdoor Red Stocking Fund drop box. Offices are located at 9 Flight Path, West Tisbury, adjacent to the airport. The box will be open and unlocked for donations to be placed inside between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
