“I join Sheriffs throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts today in recognizing the hard work and dedication to excellence of corrections staff during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Sheriff Ogden. “Dukes County Sheriff’s Deputies have faced the threat of an aggressive, rapidly expanding virus while maintaining an environment of calm security for those in custody. They have adapted to and operationalized ever-evolving medical protocols and security measures that keep our justice-involved population, our staff, and our community healthy and safe. In equal measure, the Telecommunicators of the DCSO Regional Emergency Communication Center remain steadfast in their dedication to being the conduit between the public and emergency services in a time of great need, never failing to be the clear and present voice, sending help to those in need. I thank my staff for their service, and am proud of their commitment to our core values of integrity, professionalism and respect.”
